Introducing itself as the first Ice Cream Sandwich tablet in India, the Zync Z990 made its debut at a press event we were at today. The company puts this forth as an economical option running on the most recent mobile platform by Google.
Dressed in a shade of black, the device has been embedded with a 1.2GHz processor. Its 7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen displays visuals in a resolution of 800 x 480p and it is equipped with a G-sensor. While it possesses built-in speakers, there’s also a 3.5mm port for attaching a pair of headphones.
“The Zync Z-990 tablet is India’s first Android 4.0 tablet with features such as control over data usage, new gallery app with photo editor, new lock action, new user interface, new camera capabilities and five point touch. We have also designed a keyboard especially for this tablet and priced it just as nominally. We developed Zync Z-990 based on the great consumer response to our earlier tablets Z-900, Z-909 and Z-999. In the growing era of mobile computing, this portable and innovative product will provide an unmatched mobile experience,” expressed Ashish Garg, Chairman, Apple Group of Companies.
The slate weighs approximately 380g. Incorporated with 1GB RAM, it offers a user memory of as much as 4GB, which can be enhanced up to 32GB for extra hoarding space. The other main tech specs throw up a 3600mAh battery as well as a front facing 0.3MP camera.
The Zync Z990 price tag reads Rs. 8,990. It will come bundled with essential accessories like a carrying pouch, USB cable, charger, earphones and screen guard.
