It looks like the Nokia Lumia 610 is not the only handset in the range which will be able to act as a Wi-Fi hotspot, because the Lumia 710, 800 and 900 have just been added to the list. Through a question-answer post on the Nokia Connects page, the company has confirmed that pretty soon, all the aforementioned members will be able to share an internet connection via Wi-Fi.

Just a few days ago, we heard the buzz about the 610 being readied for release with the tethering capability in tow. Owing of this, the device will be able to share an internet connection with up to five other Wi-Fi enabled gadgets. But there was nothing about its higher end cousins, causing a lot of wagging tongues to get busier.

Now through the aforesaid website, the Finland-based manufacturer affirms that all four Lumia smartphones are destined to act as Wi-Fi hotspots. For Lumia 710 and 800 handsets which are already available in several parts of the world, the attribute will be delivered through a Windows Phone 7.5 software update, says Ubergizmo. On the other hand, the Lumia 900 will be able to flaunt this feature as soon as it is unboxed.

Ready to deliver Wi-Fi hotspots from their original platform, the Nokia Lumia 610 and 900 are yet to pick proper release dates. On the other hand, the Nokia Lumia 710 as well as the 800 are now retailing. However, there is still no concrete word about the concerned software update and its availability.
