The Zync Z-999 plus India price and availability information has been divulged for those attempting to narrow down on budget Android tablet options in the market. This happens to be the first time the company is serving up Ice Cream Sandwich and 3G in a 7-inch form factor.
The 7-inch, 800 x 480p capacitive touchscreen on the front shares space with a 0.3MP camera for video calling and fixing the hair or make-up. But that’s not the only snapper on the device – a basic 2MP imager is embedded on the rear panel too. On the connectivity angle, users get a 3G SIM card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
“We were the first players to launch a low-cost tablet on Android 4.0 a few months ago and are constantly working on innovation by adding more features to match the varied needs and lifestyles of consumers,” expressed Ashish Garg, Director of Zync, during the launch of the tablet.
“The response from our customer base for our earlier models Z-909 plus, Z-990 and Z-990 plus has been outstanding and we are catering to the student community and education institutions at large. The tablet market in India is estimated at 10 million units in fiscal 2012 and we have already sold over 1,00,000 units in just 6 months. The company is aiming to sell 0.5 million units by 2013,” added Garg.
The Zync Z-999 plus is powered by a 1.5GHz single core ARM Cortex A8 CPU and 512MB RAM. If the 8GB of iNand memory is not enough for hoarding needs, there’s the option to add 32GB of additional storage capacity via the memory card slot. The exterior hosts ports for HDMI and USB, apart from a Digital Media Reader.
According to the specified Zync Z-999 plus India price and availability details, it can be purchased for Rs. 11,990 through various online vendors. The 7-inch tablet is expected to reach retail outlets in the country within the fortnight.
