Audiophiles have a new gadget called the Zooka Bluetooth speaker bar to look forward to this summer. The latest device stands a class apart from others of its ilk due to the unique design and construction employed by the entrant.

To be used with the iPhone, iPad, or almost any other smartphone and tablet, Zooka wirelessly connects with the devices through Bluetooth. It can be picked up in a riot of colors such as black, grey, blue, green, orange and brown. This accessory features two firing drivers on each side which apparently deliver cutting edge stereo sound.

“Zooka was created with portability and stellar sound in mind. It combines the ultimate freedom of wireless high-quality sound with simple, inventive design,” explained Patrick Triato, who contributed to Zooka’s development.

Constructed from medical-grade durable silicone, the audio peripheral can be slid onto the top of any tablet or phone with ease. Owing to its portable form factor, users can attach this device to gadgets and even roam about while listening to music, viewing movies or video chatting. The rechargeable lithium-ion batteries let owners stream web and digital content as well as tracks and movie audio for up to 8 hours at a stretch.

The Zooka Bluetooth speaker bar price reads $99. It will go into production on March 1 and is scheduled to be available by summer this year. Since this is a Kickstarter project, interested parties can also obtain the device by pledging a sum of $89 online at kickstarter.com. A limited edition glow-in-the-dark version will also be specially made for contributors who pledge a minimum of $149.
