Yahoo! and O2 Germany make search easier

Yahoo And O2 Logo Yahoo! and O2 Germany declared the launch of their pioneering and exclusive, multi-year mobile search partnership to bring Yahoo!’s search services on O2’s mobile portals. With this partnership, Yahoo! has replaced Google as O2 Germany’s search partner choice.

As a part of the agreement, O2’s mobile portals will now include links to Yahoo!’s most famous and leading-edge mobile properties such as Yahoo!’s new mobile homepage, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Weather, Yahoo! Finance, Flickr, Yahoo! Eurosport and more.

With this deal, O2’s 15 million German consumers can access Yahoo!’s mobile-optimized search. Designed specifically to offer precise information, users can easily access desired results, elevating the mobile search experience. Additionally, Yahoo! will also provide sponsored search mobile advertising within the mobile search experience.

The collaboration with O2 builds on the Telefónica agreement announced in 2007. Yahoo! claims to provide users and carrier partners with the highest value by offering personally precise mobile experiences. With more than 100 global partnerships with carrier, OEMs and other partners, Yahoo! is strengthening its roots as the preferred mobile partner worldwide.
