50000 Xiaomi Redmi Note units sold out in merely 6 seconds on Flipkart

6 seconds were all it took for 50000 units of the Xiaomi Redmi Note to fly off Flipkart after it was made available in India yesterday at a mouthwatering price of Rs 8999. With this record, the phone continues the brilliant run which the Chinese manufacturer has been enjoying in the country ever since it entered the market earlier in 2014.

It was the first flash sale for the Xiaomi Redmi Note and as expected, registrations for the next one have already commenced. It will take place on December 9 at 2pm on Flipkart, but will as usual, require you to register on this page in order to be eligible for purchasing the smartphone.

The Redmi Note is an extremely impressive device for the price at which it is being offered. The 3G-enabled handset comes with a big 5.5-inch HD display that’s bolted onto a body that stands 154mm x 78.7mm x 9.45mm in size. A 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie unit have been granted to it, apart from a 1.7GHz octa core processor.

This Xiaomi phone is the third one from the company to enter India, with the other two being the Mi 3 and the Redmi 1S, both of which proved to be extremely successful handsets in the market. The company is currently also selling accessories via Flipkart in the form of power banks and more.
