Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G can now be bought for just Rs 7999

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G has taken a price cut of Rs 2000 and it is now available for Rs 7999 across various retailers. The handset can be grabbed at that cost through all major online and offline retailers. But this is not the best deal you can get for it. Flipkart is offering a further discount of up to Rs 3000 in exchange for your old device so that it can be bought for Rs 4999.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G remains the same smartphone that was launched back in December 2014. It has a 5.5-inch screen which comes with GFF and IPS technology and a resolution of 720p HD. The handset is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, an Adreno 305 graphics processor and a 3100mAh battery. It contains 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal space, expandable up till 64GB via microSD.

The Redmi Note comes out-of-the-box with the company’s own MIUI version 5 based on Android KitKat 4.4.2 OS. The software can be updated to version 6, which is coupled with Android 4.4.4. The camera capabilities of the Xiaomi phone consist of a 13MP rear lens which can record video at 1080p resolution, and a 5MP front snapper which shoots up to 720p footage.

Take a look at the specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G:

-OS: Upgradable to MIUI 6 with Android KitKat 4.4.4
-Screen: 5.5-inch GFF IPS, 720 x 1280 pixels
-Processor: 1.6GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8928

-Camera: 13MP rear, 5MP front
-RAM: 2GB LPDDR3
-Battery: 3100mAh

Even with the reduction in cost, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G faces serious competition from other recent smartphones in the 4G enabled mid range market such as Lenovo’s A7000 (Rs 8999) and the Micromax-backed Yu Yuphoria (Rs 6999).
