Popular handset brand Xiaomi is planning to throw the veil off a brand new product in India during a special Christmas sale scheduled for December 15 next week. The event will be held for 24 hours starting from midnight and will have on offer a list of limited-period special deals.
Xiaomi has been hinting at the launch of the Redmi Note 2 Prime for a few days now. The smartphone was launched in China back in August. However, it’s not likely to be the secret new product given the brand has rolled out separate teasers for its arrival in India.
Anyone who buys a Xiaomi device during the Christmas celebration is eligible for a lucky draw. The manufacturer is supposed to announce 1 winner every hour from 9 am to 8 pm. They’ll be notified through the company’s official website and Facebook page. The prizes are apparently gadgets which are not yet available in India.
The landing page for the event lists the Yeelight, a Bluetooth speaker and a 2000mAh power bank as possible rewards. Note that the devices given away as prizes will not be under warranty. Xiaomi is further hosting an open sale for its accessories. This includes the Mi Band, Mi Headphones and Mi In-Ear Headphones Basic in white and black colors.

Xiaomi is also handing over a bunch of guaranteed freebies with select handsets. Mi 4i buyers get a soft case and LED light, Mi 4 and Mi Pad purchasers will receive Mi In-Ear headphones, Redmi 2 shoppers get a free back cover, and Redmi 2 Prime consumers obtain an LED light.
Additionally, people can try to win coupons from 2 pm on December 10 till 8:30 pm on December 14. The button for doing so is on the Christmas offer page. Each person can test their luck 3 times a day. The coupons will be applicable on all Xiaomi products. Customers can only use them within the brand’s app on December 15.
