WordPress has something that should satisfy the incurable bloggers among us who love the Windows Phone 7 platform. The first ever WordPress app for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 encourages blogging and website editing on the go.
This open source app lets users write or edit posts and pages, upload pictures, check stats and even moderate comments from anywhere and at any time. All of these functions are conveniently accessible from an Actions dashboard. Multiple comments can be edited simultaneously by tapping the comments that need to be moderated and applying a fresh status.
A feature that’s unique to the app for the Windows Phone 7 mobile OS is a Panorama view. It’s cited to be a pretty useful tool for managing blogs or websites through a handset. Views, Post Views, Search Terms, Referrers and Clicks are all visible via WordPress-powered stats.
Arising from a collaboration between the folks at WordPress, iSoftStone and Microsoft, future iterations of this app can probably be expected with video uploading too.
