Encouraged by the majorly positive response that the predecessor of the Phone Strap 2 garnered, the company has gone ahead to see if it will get lucky the second time. The Verge says that the device is supposed to be the world’s tiniest and lightest phone, possessing dimensions of 32mm x 70mm x 10.7mm and barely weighing down the scales at 32 grams. That being said, they have also voiced their doubts about the device’s ‘smallest’ tag, stating that the previous variant was slightly thinner.
Citing Willcom as its source, a Japanese website Impress has reported that the carrier had received a higher number of good reviews for the earlier launch from men than from women. Hence, this time around, it has decided to add more colors, specifically pink and white to grab the attention of female buyers. In order to inculcate some modern world features, the maker has included e-mail as a primary one. Users will be able to do both, read and compose their mails.
Seeming to have a penchant for the obsolete, the manufacture has placed a moving antenna on the phone for better reception and increased sensitivity. Understandably so, the device sports a tiny 1-inch display that provides a resolution of 96 x 64 pixels. A 400mAh battery has been designated the task of ensuring that the mobile stays alive for around 2 hours of talk time or 300 hours of continuous standby time. There’s also word that the handset can store as many as 1000 contact details.
The carrier has revealed that potential users can lay their hands on the Eibitto Phone Strap 2 starting March 21. Nevertheless, the network provider has started taking pre-orders for the same. Another piece of information that has come out is that only 12,000 units will be manufactured initially, giving the impression that the company will be testing the waters first.
