Walmart Family Mobile powered by T-Mobile for unlimited talk and text

To further aid in this endeavor, Walmart reveals a new brand of high-quality post-paid cell phone service dubbed as the Walmart Family Mobile powered by T-Mobile. It provides them best value for unlimited text and talk.

The premier line of service is priced at $45 per month with additional lines at $25 each. Walmart Family Mobile also caters to family needs and hence provides trendy handsets from the likes of Motorola, Samsung and Nokia. These include mobile phones that boast of Android Operating System, touchscreens and QWERTY keyboard among other features. Users can easily acquire a new device without any contract commitment or extra fees as there is no annual contract with this plan.

“Walmart Family Mobile makes it more affordable to build meaningful relationships with family and friends so that even when budgets are limited, time spent communicating with loved ones isn’t. This plan provides families with the flexibility to connect with each other without surprise charges and with the added benefit of one of the most trusted wireless network providers,” explained Greg Hall, vice president of merchandising, Walmart U.S.

“Walmart is known for great value and we’re pleased to offer our robust network of nationwide coverage for Walmart Family Mobile. This new service is an innovative approach, offering post-paid customers a low-cost alternative for unlimited voice, messaging, web and inexpensive international calling,” revealed Jim Alling, Chief Operations Officer, T-Mobile USA.

According to the company, activated accounts enter the scene coupled with a free preloaded 100MB WebPak. WebPak refill cards can also be brought either online or via stores. Customers may also conduct international calls to various parts of the world for low prices like 5¢ per minute. Handset owners can download of games, ringtones and other apps as well.

As Walmart suggests, the monthly post-paid plan enables a family consisting of three members to save up to $1,200 each year when pitted against other national unlimited talk and text plans. They can avail of this service via T-Mobile and can be acquired at Walmart stores from September 20, 2010.
