Not long back, Videocon entered the Indian markets with quite a few handsets one of which was the Zeus operating on Android 2.2. Today, the company along with Ducati hosted an event in Mumbai doffed the red silk off the latest Videocon V6200 phone. This rugged and water-proof device has been introduced in the Indian markets along with the Mo-Biking concept.

With Ducati in the picture, this sporty handset is said to be the foremost device from the series including one operating on Android. It has been crafted with Anti Slip grip, dust resistant keys and screw frame body. Moreover, the mobile phone bundles up attractive attributes like sunrise and sunset meter, Altimeter, E-Compass, a A-GPS, Pedometer and Thermometer. Sporting a 2MP camera, the device features dual LED torch and has the mic and speakers hidden under a protective layer. The 1030mAH battery has also been embedded into the chassis.

Adorned with a 2.4” TFT display and customizable LED pulse indicator, the Videocon V6200 integrates FM with recorder that can be used with both regular and sports headphones. The handset boxes in a 4GB memory card, which is pre-installed with the lifetime validity of the GPS navigation system from Mapmyindia GPS manual. Handset owners can choose to operate the device in three modes, namely phone, fun and sports.

Incorporating 32MB of internal memory, the device supports stereo A2DP Bluetooth. It bundles up mobile tracker, a 12-pin USB charging slot and remote controlled access. Further, key highlights include phone to web and phone to phone synchronization. Measuring 118mm x 53mm x 15.3mm, the handset tips the scales at 120g. It is packed with an arm band carrying case and Ducati branded sports bottle. The Videocon offering is backed by a year-long warranty.

Anticipated to be out in India by this week, the Videocon V6200 carries a price tag of Rs. 11,995. However, there are chances of it hitting the stores for around Rs. 10,000.
