With an increase in the market share of the Android platform, handset manufacturers world over intend to cash on its growing popularity. To capture on the rising demand for Android in India, Videocon Mobile Phones has taken the curtains off its latest handset christened as Zeus. Operating on Google’s OS, mobile aficionados can access a multitude of applications from the Android Market.

Zeus operates on Android 2.1 Éclair, and is equipped with a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen. Gaming enthusiasts might appreciate the fact that this device is loaded with features like Motion G Sensor, A-GPS and an Accelerometer. Bundling up other functionalities such as push mail, Wi-Fi, and Geo-Tagging, it runs on Qualcomm’s 600 MHz Micro-processor.

This 3.5G phone sports a 5MP camera featuring a LED flash and 24FPS video recording. Offering five customizable homescreens, handset owners can optimize their phone to suit their personality. Packed with two 1230 mAh batteries, users may never run out of power at the time of urgency. Pre-bundled with an 8GB memory card, car charger and a carrying pouch, it also brings along a special application’s guide.

With an internal memory of 512KB, Zeus has an expandable memory of 32GB enough to store countless hours of music and videos. It supports several Bluetooth profiles such as A2DP, GAP, HFP and HSP. This handset is preloaded with several applications to make the entire smartphone experience quicker and easier.

Videocon’s Zeus is retailing with an attractive price tag of Rs. 12,900.
