Verizon Wireless to introduce new data plans for Multimedia phones?

Verizon Wireless Logo It seems that September 6 this year is a highly anticipated date for Verizon Wireless customers. According to PhoneArena, the company is all set to market the Samsung Rogue U960 and Intensity U450 along with some new data plans. These plans will be applicable for enhanced multimedia Phones and not smartphones.

These plans can only be activated on a Nationwide Plan on purchasing the Rogue. Users will have to buy two monthly data plans that are 25MB for $9.99 or 75MB for $19.99 every month for a Nationwide Basic or Select Plan. The Unlimited Data will not include the current $15 VCast Pack.

There are even speculations that the wireless services provider will reduce the VCast to $10/month. Buying a data plan will be mandatory for users who activate the Rogue on a Nationwide Connect or Premium Plan as unlimited data is already included.

Apparently, the reason for initiating such plans is that the said company is facing loses on the $15 VCast pack with Unlimited Data. It appears that an average consumer will pay extra each month for adding a data plan or subscribing to the Connect or Premium Plan.

However, nothing is confirmed by Verizon Wireless until now.
