The Verizon Wireless Samsung Galaxy Nexus Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone is now officially available, putting an end to the wait of numerous fans. The device bears a sub $300 price tag, and can be picked from the network carrier’s official website or retail stores.

Being the first handset to bring in the Android 4.0 OS, the Galaxy Nexus promises several new entertaining and useful features. Firstly, it offers a redesigned interface with software navigation keys as well as a dedicated recent apps button. The Face Unlock attribute employs facial recognition technology which enables users to reach the homescreen by simply flashing a smile at the display.
