Verizon Wireless introduces Prepaid Unlimited Talk, Prepaid Basic plans

Pure ScreenshotsVerizon Wireless has launched two prepaid calling plans, Prepaid Unlimited Talk and Prepaid Basic. Along with this offer, the company will update the much used Prepaid Plus plan with Unlimited Weekend Minutes for all of its users.

With the Prepaid Unlimited Talk, you can enjoy similar service options that are offered to customers who opt for the annual contracts. Prepaid Unlimited Talk customers however do not have to make any long term commitments. Wireless users can make calls to family and friends on different networks for a mere $3.99 daily access i.e. only charged for days when calls are made or received. Text messages, sent and received, cost $0.01 per message with this generous plan.

The Prepaid Basic plan is applicable for customers who use their mobile phones sporadically. It comes with $0.25per minute of talk and naturally does not have a daily access fee. People who take up this offer must also pay $0.20 for each text message (sent and received).

Speaking about the purpose of these services, Jeffrey Dietel, Vice President of marketing operations for Verizon Wireless, explained, “These plans match the needs of today’s prepaid user. Customers can select the plan, the text messaging feature and match it with just about any Verizon Wireless phone. Essentially, they are designing the service that works best for them and their wireless budgets.”

In addition, Verizon Wireless has made available text, picture and video messaging bundles which come with unlimited messaging for $20 per month. Customers can also go in for a $10 unlimited in-network option which also gives a bonus 250 messages that can be made to any one on any other network.

Verizon also offers a Prepaid Plus plan for moderate wireless users of which 80 million users are already its subscribers. It offers mobile to mobile calling with unlimited nights and weekends calling for $1.99 daily access and $0.05 per additional minute for all other calls and on sending and receiving text messages. Prepaid customers can switch on to this plan anytime by simply dialing #PLAN (pound key 7526 and send) from their Verizon Wireless phones.

As far as the new plans are concerned, new customers can purchase Prepaid Unlimited Talk and Prepaid Basic from the Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and authorized agents right away or get these from select major retailers from 15th March onwards.
