Verizon Wireless offers Field Force Manager 3.2

Verizon Wireless Logo Verizon Wireless has announced the launch of their latest mobile worker management service for better communication between users and field workers. The new version known as Field Force Manager 3.2 provides users with economical solutions for enhanced co-ordination with field workers.

The service works in a simple manner. It features a web-based application for the administrator and mobile-based application for the remote worker. The manager presents the user with recent Web portal features which help the company to save time, boost productivity and diminish costs. The service has been divided into three distinct plans- limited, basic and premium- so as to cater to all kinds of organizations.

“As our business customers’ wireless needs expand and evolve, we continue to make improvements to our solution portfolio to meet those demands,” said Mark Bartolomeo, vice president – global enterprise marketing for Verizon Wireless. “Our customers in industries such as distribution and construction are asking for more sophisticated coordination with employees who work beyond the walls of an office, so we’re addressing that with these new features in Field Force Manager 3.2.”

The Field Force Manager 3.2 has a few more features pertaining to the web portal. These include an industry smart setup wizard which has certain pre-loaded features like forms, job types, reports, etc. It also has an auto-ping/multi-worker ping which with the help of GPS can stream once-per-minute ping updates to check on the field worker’s position, while multi-ping sends information upto 20 people at the same time. Users can even keep a tab on their workers to check if they are dealing in activities inside/outside work boundary via Geofence. Certain features like improved job scheduling and dispatch and worker skill set are available only with the premium plan.

As for the plans, they are distinctly priced and offer different features. The Limited plan offers management of on-field teams and gives details about current and past traveling. This plan can be availed for a fee of $24.99/month. The basic plan costs $34.99/month and allows the user to add location-validated mobile timecards and basic job dispatch. The premium plan adds a whole new dimension to mobile resource management. The plan allows job and workflow management features, and driving directions with audio and map feedback. This plan is available for $49.99/month with a qualifying voice plan. Those users who wish to avail a plan without voice-enabled tracking abilities and want to stick to the basic tracking functions, can choose only from the limited or basic plans.

These services will be available from April 5 only on LG Accolade, Casio G’zone Rock, Motorola Barrage and Samsung Convoy. These plans do not comprehend with the 3G smartphones.
