Charter Mobile Apps launched

Charter iPhone App Charter Communications has announced the arrival of its mobile application. This application has been designed for the iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones and aims at providing up-to-date information about services from Charter. Charter has even revamped their website to add certain new customizable tools to it.

The company is anticipating the growth of its mobile applications in terms of functionality to add more content streaming and allowance to demand for services. The mobile application is targeted to deliver features such as view-on-demand TV listings and movie trailers and easy search option for local service stations. Users can stay connected with their friends and family via Facebook and Twitter and configure their device to access their mails as well.

The application also allows users to check for updates on the weather and headline news. It enables users to contact Charter’s customer support easily and also check articles and videos to assist them in case of any query. Through Charter’s eNewsletter, users can keep a tab on what’s latest on Charter and learn about the loyalty program ‘Live It with Charter’.

We have the platform to take these solutions to the next level, so consumers can anticipate much more to come,” says Rich DiGeronimo, Vice President of Product Management for Charter.

Director of online Marketing for Charter, Jim Gallagher remarked on launch of these applications by saying, “Charter’s mobile app brings convenience to our customer’s lives. It brings together product and On Demand Movie information, TV listings, customer support videos and content and service locations into a single location. Mobile devices are something that people always have within their reach. With this app, we are making it easy for our customers to have information about Charter services at their fingertips.”

In addition to the mobile applications, Charter has also updated their website ‘charter.net’ using the latest technology to include certain new features. The site can now be personalized by the user which is inclusive of continuous streaming of global news, sports and stock. The user is offered easy access to Charter email, Facebook and ESPN360.com.

Charter is giving it’s users a chance to take home an Apple iPod Touch by contesting in the Charter Mobile App Sweepstakes. The contest ends on the April 19. The applications being provided by Charter can be used with the iPod touch as well.
