We had previously reported on Samsung Fascinate being upgraded to Android 2.2 Froyo for Canadian customers. Verizon Wireless has recently released a firmware update for its Fascinate and Motorola Droid Pro subscribers. However there isn’t much possibility of these including any Froyo goodness.

The update will be bringing along overall performance enhancements for both of the smartphones. A minor yet useful tweak noticed in the Samsung Fascinate update is that music pauses when the headphones are unplugged or the Bluetooth headsets are disconnected. Word has it that the update might even proffer a fix for the GPS issue faced in many Galaxy S phones including the Fascinate.

On the other hand, the Motorola Droid Pro update appears to bring handset owners improved voice clarity and enhanced global roaming performance. Further, both these upgrades are presumed to offer improvised stability and an overall better smartphone experience.

Verizon subscribers can head over to the carrier’s support page for the Samsung Fascinate and the Motorola Droid Pro firmware updates.
