Now-a-days ‘not being like two peas in a pod’ appears to be every other manufacturer’s aim and gathering momentum to deliver feature-rich handsets is nowhere less than a wise call. Verizon has recently joined the race by introducing ultra-stylish Droid X mobile phone from Motorola’s portfolio of eye-catchy pieces.

Delivering high-speed Web browsing, the phone utilizes a fast 1GHz processor and is 3G-enabled. The handset provides intuitive social messaging as well as HotSpot capabilities. Adorning a high-resolution 4.3-inch screen, the smartphone lets users enjoy the latest movies, videos and their favorite TV shows from Blockbuster On Demand presented by V Cast Video, a new Verizon Wireless V Cast application.

“Nine months ago, we made a commitment to our customers to bring the openness of Android to the Verizon Wireless network. Since then, we have introduced the top-selling Android phone in the marketplace today – the Droid by Motorola. Droid X takes that commitment to another level with exclusive content, faster processing speeds, and, of course, the reliability of our network,” remarked John Stratton, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Verizon Wireless.

On the entertainment front, users can seamlessly capture photos and videos with its dual flash 8-megapixel camera. With HD camcorder facilities, users can also enjoy DLNA and HDMI connectivity to download, stream and share their personal HD content. For a complete immersive experience, the Droid X provides access to the Android Market and Verizon Wireless apps like NFL Mobile, Skype mobile, V Cast Video, EA Need for Speed Shift, and more.

“Motorola designed Droid X to push the extreme limits of Android innovation, and enable you to do even more with your mobile device. We are breaking down barriers so that you can experience the Web the way it was meant to be and create, share and view content like never before, either in your hand or in your home. Enterprise users will also find Droid X appealing with features including push e-mail and live widgets for e-mail and calendar updates,” shared Sanjay Jha, co-chief executive officer of Motorola and chief executive officer of Motorola Mobile Devices and Home business.

Besides, OTA updates of Android 2.2 and Adobe Flash Player 10.1 will also be provided to Droid X customers. With this new update of Flash Player, users will be enabled to experience a number of sites featuring rich applications and content inside the browser, including games, animations, rich Internet applications, data presentations and visualizations, e-commerce, music, videos, audios, and more.

Designed to be an ideal choice for business professionals, the Droid X comes equipped with every necessary feature for a complete mobile experience. Offering support for both Exchange and Gmail for business, the smartphone lets users enjoy push delivery, live widgets, filter widgets, corporate directory and Global look-up with a unified calendar for Enterprise and sync with Google Calendar. Security protocols for remote password control and wipe via Exchange server are also bundled in.

The new Motorola Droid X will be up for grabs online and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores beginning July 15 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate.
