U.S. Cellular is treating owners of the Samsung phone which has been bestowed with the moniker of Galaxy Axiom, to the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update. The handset first faced exposure last year and originally packed in the Ice Cream Sandwich platform. This carrier claims that enhancements directed towards its camera, browser and UI have been incorporated in the latest upgrade.
Google Now will be a welcome addition to the device, which pops up cards for users all through the day, displaying relevant information including the likes of traffic as well as weather alerts, sports scores and train schedules amongst others, all in real time. These can, of course, be tailored as per consumers’ preferences and interests.
Voice Search allows hands-free usage by letting owners simply speak into the phone to pull up results instantly, whilst they are on the move. Also, Project Butter smoothens the transitions made between multiple screens as well as applications.
