Micromax has a new phone going by the name Ninja A91 lined up for release, along with its price tag. So far, it has been put up for sale through Saholic and we’re yet to see if other retailers across the country will be stocking up on the device.
The Micromax Ninja A91 is very clearly aimed at the mid-range market considering the nature of its less than high end specs and at how much the company has marked it. It is a dual SIM Android Ice Cream Sandwich offering which can fit in a couple of GSM cards. The front panel is given to a capacitive touchscreen of 4.5 inches and 854 x 480p resolution.
A 1GHz dual core chip pulls the phone through all its tasks along with 512MB of RAM. The onboard memory amounts to 4GB and users who find this insufficient for their hoarding needs can always look to the microSD slot for 32GB of extra space. While a 1,800mAh battery is said to be powering up the gadget, there are no details on the expected standby and talk time.
Moving on to the cameras laid out on the device, a 5MP main snapper decorates the back and a 0.3MP VGA lens sits above the touchscreen. This candy-bar smartphone has a rather nondescript appearance, meaning there’s nothing about the design to set it apart from others, and squeezes into dimensions measuring 130 x 66 x 10 millimeters. Its connectivity options cover 3G, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v3.0.
Those interested in laying hands on the Micromax Ninja A91 can head over to Saholic and cough up Rs. 8,499 for the device. It is available in the color black only. We are yet to hear about an official launch for the product by the manufacturer.
