More recently, Western Digital presented the newest version of its WD Photos photo viewer app that works with the WD TV Live Hub media center from an Apple, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Android compatible smartphone.

One of the prominent features of this application is direct connectivity .Users can share their views and videos or movies with their iOS or Android device and send it directly to anyone with a WD TV Live Hub media center for the thrill of watching on a large screen. This application is favorable for users in professional occupations who can display their experiences with their family in a fun way.

Users can access their content from any corner of the world since data is stored in the main hub and they just need their portable device Even if their device is lost, users do not have to part with their content since it’s stored in the main server.

The application includes pinch and zoom functionality, easy and quick internet access, and iPhone and iOS4 compatibility for an enhanced music experience along with watching pictures. This application allows access to about 4 smartphones and tablets to the main hub center.

In order to access the WA Photo viewer application users need to own a WD TV Live Hub media center and register with WD’s free, secure remote access service. Only certain models of Android like OS 2.1 or higher and Apple phones with OS 3.1 or later are compatible with the application.

The application is available at Apple iTunes store and users can also download the free software from the Android Market.
