U.S. Cellular Samsung Repp

The U.S. Cellular Samsung Repp phone seems to be the latest offering emerging from the nest of the network operator. This lightweight smartphone is powered by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and is capable of lending full support to HTML browser along with Adobe Flash.

The Samsung Repp is equipped with a 3.2-inch 360 x 480p HVGA LCD touchscreen and runs on an 800MHz processor. It comes embedded with a 3MP camera-cum-camcorder and gives users access to more than 2,50,000 apps and games in the expansive Android Market.

This Samsung handset operates on a standard 1500mAh li-ion battery that provides talk time and standby time of up to 8 hours and 12.5 days, respectively. Weighing 105g, the handset is accompanied by a 2GB microSD card which can be expanded up to 32GB for storing loads of pictures and videos.

Measuring 110.4mm x 57.4mm x 12.19mm, the Samsung Repp follows closely on the heels of the recently launched PCD Wrangler feature phone by U.S. Cellular. The PCD Wrangler was announced just a week back and has specially been made to cater to those who lead an ‘on-the-move’ lifestyle. The rugged phone features a scratch-proof 2.2-inch QVGA color display and in-built GPS tracking.

The U.S. Cellular Samsung Repp will soon be available online at uscellular.com as well as via authorized retail stores. While its prepaid version is priced at $139.99, the standard one comes for free after a $100 mail-in rebate and a new two year agreement as well as an applicable data plan.
