The world is talking about the latest developments in the mobile phone terrain however there are some who turn a blind eye to the impact that tons of e-waste is having on our society. In order to avoid adding to that waste, Trtl Bot introduces two eco-friendly iPhone 4 cases namely the Kickstand 4 and the Minimalist 4 for the iPhone 4.

These multifunctional cases are produced and designed locally in Los Angeles with the help of recycled plastic. The Kickstand 4 is fitted with a viewing stand which holds up the handset in several modes. These modes include portrait used for FaceTime, landscape which is well suited for viewing videos and tripod for timed photos.

“Trtl Bot is a group of designers, engineers, and artists who are inspired by simplicity and practical functionality, with the desire to create awareness about environmental issues,” said Peter Gloria, president of Trtl Bot. “We believe being eco-friendly is about buying recycled products, being locally made, and doing more with less.”

On the other hand the Minimalist 4 doubles up as a money holder. Crafted to be a simple and elegant sheath, this device can hold up to three ID or credit cards without appearing too bulky.

The Kickstand 4 and the Minimalist 4 are up for pre-order from trtlbot.com and are priced at $29.99 each. They will begin shipping by month end. The Minimalist is also available for the iPhone 3G and 3GS in black or white with a $24.99 price tag.
