Travelers rejoice as Lonely Planet content now available on Nokia Maps

Nokia aims to lighten your load with the distribution of Lonely Planet content via Nokia Maps. In an effort to assist you during those adventure trips, the guide gives you travel information at your finger tips trips simply by purchasing and downloading the city guides.

The feature presents the world’s most popular tourist locales in more than 100 destinations with many more to follow. Along with a description of popular sights and nightlife for each destination, the Lonely Planet guide will also will help travelers discover great places to eat, shop and sleep.

Using vector maps, the Nokia Maps 2.0 have been provided by Navteq and TeleAtlas. The maps cover over 200 countries, with over 70 of them navigable.

For a price of EUR 7.99, the Lonely Planet guide can be downloaded from the Guides section in the Extras menu. The maps are also available for download on selected devices directly over the air or with the Nokia Map Loader on a PC.
