Touchgrind, a multi-touch skate game for the iPhone

Touchgrind and iPhone Illusion Labs announces its first multi-touch iPhone game, the Touchgrinder. The game follows Illusion’s two most popular games from the App store namely Labyrinth and iPint.

The skateboarding game is pretty unique considering its finger gestures as controls. They give a feel very similar to the motion of legs and feet on a real skateboard. An online level editor open to the community to create and publish their own skateparks is also on aboard in addition to the natural controls.

Keeping to the Web 2.0 principle, Touchgrind allows users to come up with their own levels affecting the features of the game. The website gives players the freedom to post requests for new features, discuss them and vote for their favorites, thus, allowing them to voice their opinions even after the game’s release.

Gamers are free to ride independently in a skatepark and perform tricks on ramps, boxes and rails. A distinct blend of dynamic and innovative controls along with a high quality physics engine allows players the freedom to come up with their own tricks.

The game should debut on the iPhone App store in October 2008. Well we guess the iPhone news board is a never ending one.
