Blackberry fans flip crazy over new Blackberry Pearl

Blackberry Pearl Flip Phone The highly speculated flip version of the very popular Blackberry Pearl is officially out. An announcement by RIM at the CTIA confirmed the release of the first ever Blackberry flip phone. The move is anticipated to reassert RIM’s push in the retail consumer market. So this fall get ready to flip over the new Blackberry Pearl Flip.

With a popular flip form factor, the new Blackberry Flip has a rather sophisticated look with a sleek design. A chrome-finished frame surrounded by a smooth and luminescent face, the BlackBerry Pearl Flip smartphone is a top of the line mobile phone that flips open and cradles the face naturally and comfortably during phone calls.

Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO, Research In Motion, commented, “The popularity of BlackBerry smartphones has grown tremendously around the world and the introduction of this exciting new flip phone will help extend the reach of the BlackBerry platform even further. The BlackBerry Pearl Flip is a full-featured smartphone with a unique and friendly design and it is a natural choice for flip phone users who want to start doing more with their phone than just talk.”

Encompassed with some powerful features that include a 240 x 320 internal display, 128 x 160 external display, Quad-band EDGE , Wi-Fi, 4 hours talk time, 14 days standby, external microSDHC slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, a 2-megapixel camera with flash, as well as a Web browser and an abridged keyboard. A simple flip and you have complete control of all the attributes.

Starting this autumn, the new clamshell flip BlackBerry should release in the United States via T-Mobile as the exclusive launch carrier. Well there’s no word yet on the pricing details.
