Toshiba TG01 with CDMA passes FCC

FCC Website Screenshot Engadget reported that Toshiba TG01 has recently cleared the FCC. The phone is going to be a CDMA version with the possibility that Verizon or Sprint could carry it.

Moreover, the test documents list the device as ‘production’ therefore indicating that this phone may be ready for market sooner rather than later.

The TG01 possesses a wide range of features such as GPS facilities, WiFi capabilities, 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution for enhanced cinematic viewing experience. Its outstanding feature remains its Snapdragon CPU which provides 1GHz processing power. It is equipped with a 256MB RAM and it supports 3G UMTS/HSPA connectivity. Moreover, it offers premium video playback and 3D gaming functionalities. There also is a 3.2 MP camera for taking clear images. The thickness of the phone is only 10mm.

Unfortunately, its Europe launch apparently came with a virus. Later it was re-released virus-free.
