The new Toshiba Excite tablet range has been revealed in all its high spirits with devices sporting screen sizes of 10.1 inches, 7.7 inches and a whopping 13.3 inches. Apart from relishing the Android 4.0 OS, each of the offerings is powered by a quad core processor as well.
The slates feature displays with Corning Gorilla Glass for added durability, apart from user-friendly interfaces, adjustable widgets, customizable homescreens and more. An Nvidia Tegra 3 4-Plus-1 mobile quad core CPU makes for faster app functioning, downloads and more. Moreover, each of the devices supports a 5MP snapper on the back panel along with a front-facing 2MP sensor. Connectivity options stay within reach owing to the incorporated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth facilities. Audiophiles should be satisfied with the integration of Toshiba SRS Labs as it is touted to offer decent enhancements on this front.
“One size does not fit all, so we are carefully considering how and where people are using tablets and designing form factors to best suit various needs. The Toshiba Excite 10.1-inch tablet features a diagonal AutoBrite LED Backlit display with 1200 × 800p resolutions as well as 10-finger multi-touch support. Tipping the scales at 1.32 pounds, it offers a battery life of nearly 10 hours and 7 hours of standby time. Featuring 1GB RAM, it is fueled by the aforesaid processor with GeForce graphics and has slots for micro-USB, micro-HDMI and microSD as well. The 7.7-inch slab is equipped with an AMOLED display and is claimed to be ideal for on-the-go entertainment buffs. Just like those mentioned above, the 13.3-inch slate offers an HD display.
The Toshiba Excite 10 price details read at $449.99, $529.99 and $649.99 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants, respectively. The Excite 7.7 can be picked for $499.99 and $579.99 for the 16GB and 32GB types, in that order. The Excite 13 price is marked at $649.99 for the 32GB model and the 64GB type can be purchased at $749.99. The tablets will hit store shelves in June 2012.
