The Intel Studybook is the freshest tablet landing in the Learning Series lineup from the company. As its name suggests, it is built for classroom as well as casual settings with an educational bend.
The offering is fueled by the Intel Atom processor Z650 and arrives with built-in educational software and classroom-ready features. Its exterior comes across as quite apt for kids since it is composed from just one piece of plastic and carries shock absorbers too. The slab in question claims to survive almost anything from inadvertent drops to water spills to dirt, to a certain extent.
The educational software included in the slate is inclusive of LabCam apps, an optimized eReader as well as facilities for classroom management. A user-friendly interface for improving interactions between teachers and students has also been incorporated within this tablet.

In terms of its hardware specs, this entrant features a 7-inch 1024 × 600p capacitive multi-touch display. There’s a 2MP snapper on the flip side and a 0.3MP sensor on the front panel for photography purposes. Notably, it houses 1GB RAM and 4G, 8G, 16G or 32G of internal SSD storage.
What’s more, the tablet entails slots for mini-HDMI, audio out, 3G card mic, USB and microSD. Confined to a chassis measuring 207mm × 135mm × 16.5mm, its battery life is expected to go on for 5.5 hours. As for the OS, it is available in software choices of either Windows 7 or Honeycomb.
The Intel Studybook price is expected to start at somewhere around $199.
