Aspiring tablet owners who have been looking forward to a certain Excite X10 since the CES 2012, can now greet the Toshiba Excite 10 LE, its rechristened avatar. Touted to be the thinnest as well as the lightest 10-inch slate in the world, this device is expected to hit the U.S. markets within a week from now.

The gadget will be released in 16GB and 32GB memory capacity alternatives. Its 10.1-inch AutoBrite touchscreen is composed of Corning Gorilla glass, which is said to offer protection against scratches and smudges.
