You must be wondering why mobile phone companies always showcase their wonderful and futuristic concept phones and do not make available for sale. But such gorgeous phones indicate the future of the mobile phone technology. Next generation features, which can be seen, are being incorporated in regular phones these days. Hence we decided to have a look at the future through the lenses of concept phones.

Nokia Morph:

Morph is been developed by Nokia Research Centre and University of Cambridge. It is based on nano technology. With this, Nokia is expecting future phones to be stretchable and flexible. And it can radically be moulded into different shapes. Besides, it is made of transparent material and features a self-cleaning suface.

PXi for Lefties:

Though there are many left-handed people in the world, no one seems to take them into consideration. All gadgets and devices seem to be made as per the convenience of right handed people. Bence Bogar made a concept phone for lefties. The concept Sony Ericsson PXi features a jogdial at the right hand side for easy access. Besides, it boasts all other features that PXi has such as stylus, 5-megapixel Cybershot camera, 2 card slots etc.

Nokia Remade:

Going green, Nokia has developed Remade as an eco-friendly solution to contribute to the good cause of saving the Earth. The phone is made from recycled aluminum cans and plastics. While its rubber keys are made from old car tyers. Besides, Nokia claims that the display is made from eco-friendly technologies that contribute to saving energy.

Modu:

This is quite a different concept mobile phone. An Israeli company has showcased modular Modu phone system. Its size is as small as 72mm x 37mm x 7.8mm. The phone is equipped with “jackets” popularly knows as cases. The phone can be housed in a wide variety of jackets and can be used so with the help of these jackets. It boasts features such as Ability to send/receive SMS, Speaker, Bluetooth, MP3 Player, Minimum 1GB of storage and it can even act as a mass storage USB Flash Drive.

Sony Ericsson See-Saw:

Sony Ericsson’s See-saw concept phone is developed by Karsten William. It features OLED display and soft flat number key pads. What is interesting is the bulge protruding from its center-back that hides camera and flashlight. That’s the reason behind naming the phone as See-Saw.
