Version 1.9 of the TiVo app for iPhone as well as iPad is now available for download on iTunes. Along with this, the company has also announced that a similar update for Android and a new compatible software option for tablets running on the Google mobile platform will be seen in summer and spring, respectively.
Firstly, the overall layout of the Browse category is said to have been changed through this revamp. It should now be easier to find movies and TV shows by means of collections and categories. Apart from this, a new WishList search attribute has also been added. It will allow users to mark the desired programs and films which are not available for recording at the time. Clicking the WishList button will automatically record the show when it is available.

See Top Picks this Week; the 2012 Academy Award Winners; 4 Star Movies this Week; or the Best Action Adventure Flicks. Find something you’re interested in and set it to record, or watch it on your TV right now from a video provider like Netflix or Amazon. The new look for Browse should make it quicker and easier to find, record, and watch TV shows and movies that interest you,” says Margret Schmidt, Vice President for User Experience through a recent post on the official TiVo blog.
A TiVo Premiere DVR Series4 lets users make changes to My Shows, the To Do List, and the Season Pass Manager whenever they are away from the home network. On the other hand, a Series3 TiVo DVR will only allow people to view the To Do List and amend or delete stuff on the Season Pass Manager record. Some other upgrades include enhanced Facebook and Twitter log in, Keep Until I Delete tab under My Shows and so on and so forth.
