Music enthusiasts may be seen pleased as punch on hearing this bit of news. Thumbplay has recently released the ThumbPlay Music application in Private Beta at the Consumer Electronics Show. The app looms in as a cloud-based, subscription music service that offers Blackberry smartphone users unlimited, on-demand access to millions of songs.

To catch wider attention, the Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, EMI Music, CD Baby, INgrooves, IODA, and the Orchard along with dozens of additional independent labels will also be featured in the service. Interestingly, the ThumbPlay Music includes its own in-app media player and features unlimited, on-demand access to any artist or album with millions of high-quality songs. Users can now happily find music by artist, song, album or genre and experience free previews of all songs.

“We were immensely proud to showcase Thumbplay Music’s Private Beta at the BlackBerry booth at CES. This is, without question, an application BlackBerry Smartphone users will truly embrace and enjoy,” stated Evan Schwartz, Thumbplay Co-Founder and CEO.

Additionally, the Thumbplay Music app offers music fiends a quick, intuitive way to build a personal music collection that automatically synchronizes between smartphones and the desktop app. Now lend an ear to music without Wi-Fi or network connection. Whether underground or mid-flight, playlists are available for listening offline, delivering true portability on Blackberry handsets.

Further, the app integrates AutoPlaylist which lets users quickly generate expert recommendations based on favorite songs. Besides, with a few clicks, users can recreate iTunes playlists and have them available on their phone.

Thumbplay Music app is anticipated to be available within the first quarter of 2010 and the service will include a free, three-day trial of its unlimited, on-demand service. Following the trial period, subscriptions will cost users $9.99 per month.
