ImageShack updates iPhone App with Video Capture and Sharing Features

ImageShack iPhone App Here rolls in some really good news for users who have been using ImageShack’s iPhone application. The company has recently released an update to the app that makes sharing media to the real-time web faster and easier. Besides photo capture and posting being streamlined, the app lets users record and post videos straight to Twitter, YouTube or share by email.

Upon capturing media on the iPhone, users can now quickly share it either by uploading directly to the company’s website, post immediately to Twitter via the company’s media hosting service yfrog, send straight to YouTube, or send through email.

“Taking a picture or video, going home and uploading it hours later just doesn’t cut it anymore – people are increasingly looking for ways to share moments of their lives in real time, and ImageShack’s updated app is designed to keep up with that need,” explained Jack Levin, co-founder and CEO of ImageShack. “The iPhone has made it effortless for people to capture photos and videos wherever they are, and we’re making it even easier to now share that media with family and friends instantly.”

Further, the newly updated iPhone app features video recording straight from the iPhone 3GS, in-app video playback, and multiple log-in options for uploading.

On the other hand, users can still keep a library of photos, browse through them via their ImageShack account, edit tags and delete photos as part of ImageShack’s original iPhone app. The new Version 2.0 of the app now lets users zoom and scroll while browsing through pictures and include location information about newly taken images.

Version 2.0 of the app is now up for grabs in the iTunes store for free.
