The LG Nexus 4 price and release date have been penned down by Three UK. Just after T-Mobile launched the Google-branded smartphone a few days back, it has been claimed by the UK-based carrier.
Google has collaborated with the Korean company to bring to its customers a sturdy phone that not only has a 4.7-inch WXGA IPS display but is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The handset embodies a 1.5Hz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor that contributes to its smooth performance while multi-tasking.
The device, weighing 316 grams, is based on the latest Android Jelly Bean platform. Positioned on the flip side is an 8MP camera that, besides snapping images and recording full HD videos, allows capturing of 360-degree panorama pictures through Photo Sphere. Also, users can employ the front-facing webcam for video conferencing.
Speaking of memory, besides 2GB of RAM, the Nexus 4 offers 16GB of internal memory. Additionally, connectivity features such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi allow wireless exchange of content. Users will also be able to share data wirelessly with those possessing NFC-enabled devices.
The handset consumes the power of a 2,100mAh battery to operate soundly which, according to the company, bestows a talk time of up to 15 hours or standby of roughly up to 390 hours. Packed on the back of the device is a wireless charging pad that can be used with an accessory which will be sold separately.
The Google Nexus 4 by LG will enter all Three-owned outlets across the UK starting December 13, 2012. It will be available on The One Plan for an upfront cost of £29 followed by £35 monthly installments. Buyers can also purchase it for £399.99 under the Pay As You Go plan.
Schemes like All in One 15 and All in One 25 are made available by the carrier. The former, at a cost of £15, offers 30-day access to All-You-Can-Eat-data along with talk time of up to 300 minutes with any network and 3000 texts, while the latter scheme costing £25 stands to be more or less the same, except with additional 200 any-network minutes.
