TalkTalk Huawei Ascend G 330 price declared for the UK, preloaded with BBC apps

TalkTalk has announced the Huawei Ascend G 330 price in the UK and the entry-level smartphone will be made available to customers sometime next month. It is not only based on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform but also features the company’s very own HAP 5.1 Android interface.

Speaking of specifications, the first thing that grabs users’ attention is a 4-inch WVGA touch screen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The device is fueled by a 1GHz dual core processor along with 512MB of RAM that together, toil towards delivering smooth performance.

Users can employ the 5MP camera, positioned on the flip side, to capture images as well as record videos and store them within the phone’s 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB by inserting a microSD card. A VGA camera is placed on the front to allow video conferencing.

James Powell, Product and Solutions Director of Huawei Device for UK and Ireland, informs that the Ascend G 330 is pre-loaded with two essential BBC apps plus EA Games’ Sims Freeplay. He further goes on to say that it is well-suited for discerning shoppers who are looking out for affordable gadgets with smartphone features.

In addition, the handset includes connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, to enable wireless sharing, plus A-GPS with a view to allow smooth navigation. It is powered by a 1500mAh Li-ion battery so that all its operations function soundly.

The Huawei Ascend G 330 will be made available for free on price plans amounting to £10, £15 and £25 per month. The gadget is expected to land in all TalkTalk stores across the UK sometime in the month of December. Comparatively, Amazon has put it up for sale for £181.98 without an agreement. It is also up for pre-order on Expansys, although pricing details haven’t been specified.

The carrier has also launched the Android Gingerbread-operated Ascend Y 201 (seen below) which is available for free on contracts starting from £5 per month.
