SouthPeak Interactive has popped its creative head into the mobile terrain by bringing its popular action game to a new platform. The company is all set to unleash Monster Madness across Android devices that include the new Nvidia Tegra 2 mobile processor. This offering is claimed to be the first game that actually needs Tegra 2 as it boasts of real-time physics and 3D graphics.

Phone owners can enjoy an enhanced gameplay experience as the handset utilizes accelerometer and multi-touch interface technology. The title is formulated by employing Unreal Engine 3 and hence unfurls across the mobile terrain with the excellent graphical quality and action experienced on the console.

“SouthPeak’s Monster Madness is the first title to fully leverage the multi-core architecture and graphics capabilities of Tegra 2” commented Bill Rehbock, General Manager, Mobile Games at Nvidia. “SouthPeak has taken advantage of what Tegra 2 offers to deliver unmatched visuals and they’ve improved on the original console game with superbly intuitive controls. Monster Madness gives mobile gamers a taste of what’s to come on this powerful platform.”

“We recognize the importance of the mobile space in gamers’ lives and we are excited to take this first step into bringing them the opportunity to play true console-quality games on the go,” stated Melanie Mroz, President and CEO of SouthPeak Interactive. “We anticipate that the demand for games such as Monster Madness will grow as the ability to have a cutting-edge game experience becomes integrated into the daily life of the mobile gamer and we look forward to expanding our presence in this new frontier.”

Players can also take advantage of the 2-player co-op mode which can be conducted through Wi-Fi. All the features seen in the original console version can be spotted with this mobile iteration as well. These include vehicular combat, loads of ferocious zombies and upgradeable weapons. The Xoom from Motorola is noted to be premier device to feature the Monster Madness game.

Monster Madness is developed by War Drum Studios and can be picked up from the Android Marketplace. The company has tagged the title with a limited-time only price of $9.99.
