TechFaith reveals its first ever Windows based PC CDMA mobile phone

TechFaith PC CDMA phone TechFaith the Chinese developer unveiled the launch of new PC CDMA phone that will run down on Windows Mobile operating system. It is the first touchscreen and windows based handset developed by the developer. It will first enter the Mexican market.

The TechFaith device features a 2.8 inch touchscreen display. The most appealing feature is that it will support 3G. It integrates a camera and a music player so that you can capture images and also listen to music. Since the phone works on Windows Mobile operating system the phone encapsulates the Office Mobile application. This application will allow users to perform their office work more professionally from their device itself. Users can view and edit documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The CDMA device delivers high speed of internet for quick and easy transfer and sharing of files.

“We’re very pleased to ship the first pocket PC CDMA to Mexico,” says Wilson Cai, Deputy CEO for TechFaith. “The shipment of this high-performing, Windows Mobile based pocket PC is a significant milestone for TechFaith. We expect the device to be very successful in the Mexican market.”

“Thanks to the Windows Mobile technology, users will be able to access such Office tools as Outlook, instant communication and entertainment applications through MSN Messenger, as well as photos, music, videos and games; also, they will be able to use it as a digital player with Windows Media Player, and even send and receive e-mail messages instantly, regardless of their location,” explained Arturo Diaz, Director of the Mobile Business Unit at Microsoft Mexico.

The TechFaith CDMA device’s releasing date and its price is not yet known. The Mexican citizens will have to wait a bit more for this Windows based mobile phone.
