The most recent announcement from the Tata Teleservices reveals the launch of a new service powered by mCheck. This new service provides an easy and quick way for pre-paid as well as post-paid subscribers.
The new SMS service will allow users to pay their bills via their mobile phones just by sending an SMS. To pay the bills, Tata Indicom subscribers can send an SMS ‘PAY TATA’ to 59909 from their mobile phones. Bill payments can be done by using any valid credit card like a VISA or a MasterCard issued by any bank in India. Once you send an SMS, the transaction is approved by an automated call-back from mCheck that registers your credit card. On entering the confidential 6-digit mCheck PIN number, the transaction gets approved.
Mr. Zubin Jimmy Dubash, Additional Vice-President for Value Added Services, Tata Indicom, comments “At Tata Indicom, we have been constantly striving to provide convenient and easy-to-use services to our subscribers. The launch of this service is an example of our commitment to provide simplicity and control in the hands of our customers.”
On completion of the transaction, users gets an SMS receipt which ensures that the transaction was completed successfully. Taking complete advantage of this new service, customers can recharge their pre-paid accounts or pay their post-paid bills in a convenient way and stay connected with their friends and family.
First time users will have to register their MasterCard or Visa by entering their card number, expiry date and CVV. Tata Indicom subscribers can also register on the mcheck website.
