Tata Communications’ latest Jamvee UC platform version unveiled

Tata Communications has upgraded its Unified Communications platform by announcing the latest version of the Jamvee cross-company collaboration service. It utilizes the company’s global tier 1 network and aims to bring any client software and device under a single platform whilst continuing to provide a secure connection.

The latest version of the Jamvee UC platform has been designed with more emphasis on interoperability. With this release, users will be presented with convenient intra- and inter-company collaboration as they will be able to connect to and from any device and even use the service’s audio, video, chat and content sharing capabilities. Through this cross-enterprise team collaboration can be greatly improved along with productivity. Even browsers can be used to join online meetings owing to the plug-in solution for non-WebRTC browsers.

The UC platform is open and customizable which means that third party development is supported and companies will be able to choose additional tools which are commercially feasible. It also provides support for IM and presence federation through SIP and XMPP. Tata Communications launched this collaboration service back in 2013 and it’s available across multiple devices such as Windows, OSX, Android and iOS.

Jamvee UC also has in-built support for a vast catalog of video conferencing equipment. Where pricing and plans are concerned, pre-paid subscriptions start at $148 for 120 minutes and go up till $2,498 for 2300 minutes, supporting up to 12 participants. An unlimited plan is also available at $499 per month for a total of 4 users.

The latest version of the Jamvee UC platform will be showcased by Tata Communications at the InfoComm 2014 in Las Vegas till the 20th of June.
