T-mobile unleashes myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition

myTouch 3G Fender Limited EditionT-Mobile fans can now look forward to a new handset. T-Mobile has declared the upcoming availability of the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition. The company also announced a collaboration with renowned musician and Fender guitarist Eric Clapton to aid in uncapping the new phone.

The phone comes with a new design and superior attributes to generate an exclusive mobile music experience. The gadget will be available with pre-installed classics of Clapton like Layla, My Father’s Eyes, Rock ‘N’ Roll Heart and Wonderful Tonight. Since the handset was planned with the collaboration of Fender, the phone has a Fender guitar sunburst-finish inspired design. The device includes a 16GB microSD card to keep thousands of songs/videos, a 3.5mm headset jack and a superior music player. The music player, created by HTC, can deliver a spontaneous user interface that enables toggling between diverse views or for changing a song or album by just touching the album art. It also lets users generate ringtones from songs that are playing.

Content pre-installed on the handset comprises of popular Android Market applications, Guitar: Solo and Musical Light. The phone will also encompass songs by Wyclef Jean, Avril Lavigne and Brad Paisley. Novel accessories enable further customization and usability, counting added Fender-branded shells, a Fender carrying case, screen protector, and Rock Dock, a docking station with speakers.

T-Mobile is also rolling out a personalized multimedia sync solution in affiliation with Silicon Valley startup doubleTwist. This enables users to effortlessly benefit from the phone’s superior media attributes. doubleTwist is claimed to be a free software application that facilitates users to simply control and sync their music, videos and images from a Windows-based PC or Mac promptly to their mobile phone. doubleTwist can mechanically discover every music already on the computer and lets users to import their iTunes playlists, thereby offering complete media management functionality.

A unique T-Mobile version of the software can be pre-loaded on the new limited edition so users can easily join their device to their computer for a faultless installation experience. The software provides a smooth, spontaneous interface for syncing and organizing music and other media. T-Mobile is also geared up to deliver the customized version of the software to users via other T-Mobile Android phones.

The device also provides users with one-touch access to the Google mobile services counting Google Search by voice, Google Maps with Street View, YouTube and Picasa. The Fender Limited Edition, which operates on Android 1.6, is scheduled to be upgraded to Android 2.1 this spring.

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition should hit the market on January 20, 2010 in specific T-Mobile retail stores and online at T-MobilemyTouch.com. The mobile phone will be available for $179.99 with a new two-year service contract and qualifying voice and data plan.
