Assist America LogoBlackBerry users may want to pay attention to this piece of news. AssistAmerica has declared the release of Assist America Mobile. This is claimed to be an optimization of the company’s website for BlackBerry users.

The Assist America website can be viewed and steered quite seamlessly via the BlackBerry by members of the site. Apparently, there is no requirement for resizing or extensive scrolling. The website can fully run on all current BlackBerry models that are operating on a minimum of BlackBerry OS 4.6 or more counting the Tour, Bold, Bold 2, Curve 8900, Curve 8500, Storm, Storm 2 and all upcoming units.

George Howard, President of Assist America, commented, “Our members are always on the move, and their phones are what keep them connected. We developed Assist America Mobile with their needs in mind – providing a rapid way to activate our services, and practical, relevant information for their travels presented in an easy-to-navigate format. Our company is a pioneer in the assistance industry, not only with our services, but with the mobile optimizations for iPhone and now, BlackBerry. We hope our members and insurance company partners take full advantage of these technological enhancements.”

Members can see service descriptions and widespread on-the-move travel details like visa and inoculation needs, cultural tips and fresh media stories for any of the 194 sovereign nations accepted by the U.S. State Department, from anyplace in the world.

A program download is not needed for this application as it can notice if a guest to the Assist America website is using a BlackBerry and will mechanically exhibit the optimized version.
