According to Slashgear, T-Mobile UK has recently announced that they will be renaming the T-Mobile G1 Touch better known as the HTC Hero, as the T-Mobile G2 Touch. This move was probably carried out to differentiate the HTC G1 from the HTC G1 Touch.
The T-Mobile G2 Touch possesses the revolutionary Sense UI system and also includes features such as 3G HSPA, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth and GPS. It also includes 528 MHz processor, 5 MP camera for taking clear pictures and 3.2-inch 320 x 480 capacitance-based touchscreen display.
This announcement follows the news that the T-Mobile USA does not plan to offer the Hero.
There is still no mention about the pricing of the T-Mobile G2 Touch. T-Mobile UK may probably offer the HTC Hero for free with a new, two-year contract as its competitor Orange is doing the same. T-Mobile UK will start shipping the Hero sometime in July.
