HTC Touch Pro2

Recently, HTC’s Touch Pro2 was in news as the smartphone from Telus was put up for sale on the Best Buy website. The only issue was that Telus had not yet officially launched the phone.

Although this device is being launched by many carriers globally, the US lacked an official carrier till now. Recently, Engadget iMobile reported that T-Mobile will be launching the phone on August 12. Many were expecting a July release for the phone. However, apparently quality control issues prevented that from happening.

The Touch Pro2 features slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.6-inch WVGA display touchscreen that tilts, WiFi and GPS. It is a 3G enabled smartphone with 3.2-megapixel camera for taking clear pictures. The handset possesses an enhanced TouchFLO3D interface and is equipped with Straight Talk technology that makes it an excellent speakerphone, perfect for frequent conference callers.

Additionally, a touch-sensitive zoom bar enables users to zoom in and out web pages, emails, etc. The phone will be available in the shade “mocha”.

There is no information about the pricing of this phone.
