T-Mobile to release BlackBerry Curve 8520 on August 5

BlackBerry Rocks Website The wait for the BlackBerry Gemini is almost over. IntoMobile reports that the Gemini aka BlackBerry Curve 8520 will be launched by T-Mobile on August 5.

On 5 August, retail stores, RPS and Walmart will receive this device. Additionally, this phone will also be presented to employees and it can be upgraded.

The Curve 8520 will replace the trackball featured in previous BlackBerry Curve phones with a touch-sensitive trackpad. It sports a full QWERTY keyboard, WiFi and Mobile calling. The handset allows access to personal and work e-mail. Besides this, users can also SMS, IM and access social networking sites.

Additionally, the BlackBerry App World will provide users with abundant applications, games and music. The device supports GSM/EDGE connectivity and features a 2MP camera without flash.

The new Curve will basically possess the same screen resolution as its predecessor. Previously, T-Mobile had launched an event called BlackBerry Night at the Movies where the Gemini was given special focus.

There is no mention about the pricing details as yet.
