T-Mobile LG Optimus L9 price announced, starts at $49.99

The T-Mobile LG Optimus L9 price details have arrived at last after the network announced its plans to launch this handset earlier this month. Besides this smartphone, a number of Google-branded devices are in the pipeline from the carrier as well, counting the Nexus 4 and the updated Nexus 7.

The Optimus L9 features a 4.5-inch qHD touch panel with a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating that protects it from scrapes and scratches. It runs Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS, and draws power from a dual core processor that ticks at 1GHz. Those fond of photography can employ its 5MP rear-facing shooter which comes with an LED flash and records clips in full HD.

This handset tags along a number of features that are common to the rest of the L Series. For example, it has the QuickMemo tool that lets users jot down notes from any screen without having to exit from the application. And then there’s the Voice Shutter function that captures images by recognizing the voices of users. This smartphone comes with a 2150mAh battery that should be sufficient enough to run it through the day.

The price for the Optimus L9 amounts to $49.99 on the Value plan that needs a monthly payment of $15 for 20 months. Besides this, buyers can purchase the smartphone at $79.99 on a Classis tariff after a $50 mail-in rebate. Both costs are inclusive of a two-year contract.
