The HTC One release date through T-Mobile in the US is scheduled for next week on April 24, or so suggests a leaked document. While pre-orders for the latest flagship have already commenced through carriers like Sprint and AT&T, the provider in question has only confirmed that the smartphone is expected to arrive sometime soon.
TmoNews managed to get its hands on a planogram for the carrier’s retail stores. The document indicated that only select outlets will be stocking the phone. Not long after the report hit the web, a fresh screenshot surface providing stronger evidence that the device will indeed be offered next week. And to promote the launch, employees will be geared up in company-branded t-shirts.
While the device comes with 32GB and 64GB storage options, the latter choice is exclusively being offered to AT&T customers. A separate developer edition has been announced as well, which arrives with an unlocked bootloader and isn’t tied to any carrier. Within its 9.3mm slim form factor, the latest Snapdragon 600 processor gets things up and running in a quad core configuration clocked at 1.7GHz.
The front houses a 1080p touchscreen that’s also found on the Butterfly, but the display size has been slightly reduced down to 4.7 inches. Unlike the latter, the panel employed proffers a higher pixel density of 468ppi. The Taiwanese manufacturer has done a lot of changes to its UI with the introduction of BlinkFeed that provides news and feeds from social networks straight on the homescreen. Coming to the design, it features a Zero gap construction and shows off a full metal body.
The report has also disclosed that the HTC One will be release on the said date for a $99 down payment followed by 24 monthly payments of $20. Best Buy also had a listing of $249 for the 32GB option, but the page seems to have been taken down. For reminder’s sake, the handset will only be available via select retail outlets.
