The Swipe Legend price has been officially penned down and if we were to believe the company, the slate is said to be really affordable. After introducing a dual SIM gadget with 3G connectivity in October, the California-based manufacturer claims that this is the first time India will be witnessing the launch of a dual SIM tablet running on a dual core processor.
Speaking of which, the heart of the device is made of a 1.5GHz CPU that is all set to undertake various tasks together with 512MB of DDR3 RAM. To store content such as pictures, songs and more, 4GB of onboard memory is provided. Not surprisingly, there also is a microSD card slot that allows expansion of up to 32GB.
Even with Android’s latest Jelly Bean update doing its rounds, the device treats itself to a scoop of Ice Cream Sandwich. A 7-inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen display introduces users to pictures at a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
A 2MP camera has been embedded into the rear end of the Legend tablet to facilitate capturing pictures and recording videos. A 1.2MP webcam tiptoes onto the front side to permit face-to-face conversations. The 335 gram slate also allows voice conferences with up to seven people concurrently and it gains power from a 3,600mAh battery, although for how long is still unknown.
Users can turn to the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G connectivity to take advantage of surfing the Internet or downloading content. Naturally, the device comes with Bluetooth 3.0 to allow wireless sharing. Over and above these connectivity features, GPS with voice-based guidance also exists for turn-by-turn navigation.
The Swipe Legend has arrived on the shelves of the company’s online store carrying a price tag of Rs. 11,999. Customers should also note that e-retailers like Flipkart and Snapdeal have stocked up the slab for Rs. 10,990.
